Layla Vineyards Sparkling is a semi-dry (demi-sec) made from half Chardonnay and half Pinot Noir with extra ripe fruit blended together to enhance the natural sweetness of the grapes. The grapes were grown on mature vines in the Maipu Valley surrounding the winemaking town of Mendoza at an elevation of 900 meters (2,953 feet) and were hand harvested and placed in small 18 kg. boxes. Grapes were harvested in late February. The climate is perennially sunny with semi-arid conditions necessitating feeding the vines with drip irrigation.  Layla Sparkling is wonderful with desserts, sweet kugels, barbeque chicken or standing alone for cocktails and celebrations.
