Citrus Crusted Tuna with Garlic, Ginger and Lime (Pareve)

Recipe Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons chopped jalapeno pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons lime zest
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • 1 tablespoon crush pepper corns
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • Tuna steaks or fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

In a small saucepan, mix first 8 ingredients with wine and simmer over medium heat for five minutes.

Cool.

Pack crust onto tuna and let sit for 20 minutes.

Heat heavy skillet with olive oil and cook tuna until done-- 10 minutes per inch thickness.
